Empty road stretching toward the horizon

Find your route. · by Personafyr

Wrong information is the most expensive detour.

We clear up everyday misinformation about the things that decide your next step: records, requirements, documents and scams.

A wrong card, the wrong ORI or an old rule can cost you a start date. So we go to the source, show you the source, and help you check it yourself.

Check the source. Then go.

Check First: three checks before you go.

Big moves check the road before they leave. Run these three before prints, an FBI report or an apostille.

  1. Map check · Look it up. Where does this road lead, and what does it ask for? Name your road: a Florida job or license, out of state, or moving abroad. Each one asks for something different.
  2. Route check · Check the source. Get directions from whoever draws the official map. Read the instructions from the agency, board, employer or consulate that asked, and get your ORI from them.
  3. Gear check · Then go. Pack what the road needs and move with momentum. Bring only what qualifies: photo ID, the exact ORI, the right card or document version.

Check first. Then go anywhere.

Check your road.

Travel, a new job, a license, a new state. Each road has its own checkpoints. Our route finder lays them out stop by stop, with the official source for every one.

  • A new job or license in Florida: Usually a fingerprint-based Level 2, sent under the ORI your agency gives you.
  • Living outside Florida: You often don’t need to travel. Check your agency’s out-of-state options first.
  • Moving, working or studying abroad: Often an FBI Identity History Summary, then an apostille if the country asks.
  • Not sure yet: Start with Where to next? and pick your goal.

A general guide, not legal or immigration advice. Requirements change, so always check the official source.

Train your eye.

Some wrong turns look real: a lookalike site for an FBI report, a message pretending to be an agency, a profile of someone who doesn’t exist. Play Real or Not, free, in about five minutes, with no sign-up.
